Sivaperuman in this temple is Magudeshwarar, the Goddess part is
Soundhranayaki. Lord Brahma of this temple has no goddess part. Moorthy - This defines the thrimoorthi system Theertham - This defines the holy river Kaviri and other Holy water origins inside the temple, i.e. Bharadhwaja Theertham, Brahma Theertham, Deva Theertham viz. Sthalam - The over all divine qualities of this religious spot. Lord Magudeshwara is called in various names as Paandi Kodumudi Nathar, Malaikozhundheesar etc., art & architectureKodumudi is a holy place with holy river kaviri and a characteristic feature i.e. Kavadi Theei'lham. This Kavadi with Kaviri water and Vanni Leaves are the symbol of Tradition during the pilgrimage to Palanimalai. THE POETIC SAINT SAMBANDHAR who sung 11 songs on Lord Magudeshwara. Five songs by Appar and Saint Sundharar sung 10 songs (Namashivaya Pathigani) on Lord Magudeshwara. Lurtherly Arunagirinathar (Genuine devote of Lord Muruga) sung too "Thirupugazl" on Lord Muruga of this temple.

part Thirumangai Nachiyar. Lord Sivaperuman of destructive duty, Vishnu
